Greek Tzouras : (Bouzoukaki) a small bouzouki. The Tzouras is another variant of the tampoura, although in the Turkish instrumentarium it denotes a very small, or the smallest of instruments in the tampoura family, in the Greek instrumentarium, tzouras, is slightly smaler than the bouzouki, hence (bouzoukaki). The resonator is either hollowed out from a solid piece of wood, or made with staves.The tuning is the same as the three string bouzouki, (D-A-D). The melody is usually played on the first and second strings, while the third string will usually provide a drone.
